During September meetings, Centerville and Washington Township officials approved an agreement with American Communities Partnership (ACP) of Columbus to review and make recommendations about zoning codes.
ACP served as a consultant to Create the Vision, the 18-month study that drew up plans to guide development of the community for the next 20 years.
Land use was determined to be the top priority for immediate attention as the Implementation Task Force began its work.
Zoning codes set standards for how the land in the community is used — residential business or industrial for example. The range of standards the code sets deals with setbacks and density and helps provide the framework for an attractive, livable community.
ACP's recommendations will be delivered to the city and township yet this fall.
